Eurythmy in the Workplace and as a Social Art

Eurythmy demonstration. Garrison Institute on the Hudson, NY.

Eurythmy teaches effectively how to work alone and in a group. It encourages teamwork in place of competition. Through participation, each individual’s contribution is recognized as part of the larger vision of the organization.

Eurythmy has been introduced into the business world in companies such as Weleda, Telecom, Management Institute, the University of Wisconsin Business School, and Boards of Trustees in organizations including Waldorf Schools and Non-profits.

In this highly stressful world, people in the workplace need to develop balance and harmony along with flexibility and self-confidence.  To create an environment that is dynamic, responsive and efficient, businesses must ensure that communication and cooperation within the company and with customers is positive and full of initiative.

Results/Objectives:

  • Improve concentration and increase creativity
  • Increase effectiveness in interacting with others
  • Improve coordination and communication
  • Increase self-confidence
  • Decrease effects of intense computer usage
  • Bring more joy into the work environment
  • Bring greater balance between the body and soul, and harmony between inner and outer worlds

Linda has had experience in corporate and non-profit organizations, including the United Nations, the World Health Organization in Geneva, the Royal Shakespeare Company in London and Stratford, with Opera Companies in the U.S., in Waldorf Schools with Boards and Faculty, national conferences, and collaborations with art, biography, and eurythmy.

“The group interaction made me aware of the shared responsibility

and the shared joys and burdens of us all.”
